What does Flambards Theme Park look like in 2026? Join me for a heartbreaking update as we walk the perimeter of Cornwall's most iconic abandoned theme park to see what’s left before it’s gone forever. It’s been two years since Flambards officially closed its doors in November 2024. In this video, I check out the current state of the site and spot heavy machinery moving in, clearing the way for the new housing developments stretching down from Helston. From the overgrown station of The Hornet roller coaster to the ruins of the Victorian Village and log flume, the park has completely transformed into what looks like an apocalyptic wasteland. [00:00] - Introduction: Alex explains he is revisiting Flambards two years after its closure. [00:57] - Walking past the empty car park and spotting a bonfire and site-clearing machinery. [01:18] - Spotting the remnants of "The Hornet" roller coaster through a broken perimeter fence. [02:32] - Observing the heavy machinery and pointing out how close the new housing developments are getting to the park. [03:43] - Looking at The Hornet's abandoned station and turnstiles while sharing personal memories of the ride. [04:33] - Seeing the rubble and remains of the Colorado River log flume and old carts. [05:57] - Comparing the severely abandoned and overgrown state of the park to the post-apocalyptic game The Last of Us. [07:27] - Pointing out the Space Race building and discussing the eventual fate of the park's rides. [08:56] - Spotting more heavy machinery, including cherry pickers and diggers, actively taking down the site. [09:36] - Looking at the ruins of the entrance, Victorian village, and shop areas covered in broken glass. [10:44] - Showing the old ticket office and the abandoned balloon ride. [11:42] - Final reflections on the park's history, the leftover ride cars, and the tragic end to the beloved local attraction. [13:45] - Alex's closing thoughts on the inevitable future of the site being turned into housing in the coming years.
